NURS FPX 6400 Assessment 5 Recording Practicum Hours is focus on accurately documenting and reflecting on the practicum experience. Fifty practicum hours were also used in accelerating and demonstrating the role of a nurse educator within the clinical setting. A significant portion of this amount of time, approximately 20 hours, was devoted to developing and implementing educational interventions on academic integrity and learning philosophy, and developing a professional development plan among nursing staff. These sessions included in-service lectures, individual instructions, and creation of educational materials such as handouts, visual aids. The other 15 hours were on curriculum planning and instruction design, such as identification of learning requirements, selection of appropriate instructional techniques, and mapping of content to adult learning principles and organizational goals. Another activity of this stage was the collaboration with nurse managers and the staff of the education department to make sure that the educational content supported the unit-specific competencies and accreditation requirements.

The remaining 15 hours were on the follow-up and evaluation activities. It entailed the gathering of learner feedback, results analysis to establish how the knowledge is transferred, and revision of educational materials in accordance with the performance of the staff and the response of learners.
